UPDATE... 31-Mar

We are cautiously optimistic a solution has been achieved, but will reserve judgement until more testing is conducted.

Using a mirror, one tech observed the movement of the slide while the other actuated the slide. It was discovered that the front Powergear slide mechanism was deflecting upward partially through the stroke. I did not see it myself, but they said they thought it had to do with the motion and weight of the room. Anyway the area was shimmed and the next series of tests were begun. We drove the truck around some and then (after removal of the Torklifts) elevated individual jacks to impose some different bending loads into the slide opening. The slide continues to work without incident.

We will drive it a couple of days around town and , if there are no repeat problems, take it on a weekend test trip. Hope this is the end of this saga. The exterior graphics are nearly dead on now too. [emoticon] Final check will be offload on return.

This whole series of problems in my opinion has been an example of how compound problems can result from multiple individual (and sometimes temporary solution) repairs.

Congratulations...
... these things are often simple in hind sight!

Just curious... are the graphics aligned now... or has all of the previous adjustments changed their alignment?

Yes, they are very close to where they were originally.
