Here are a few pics of the races last weekend in Riggins

well, that didn't work [emoticon]

Thanks to all who squared me away! I am not so computer literate......
------------------------------------------------------------------
Our trip from Donnelly was uneventful, the truck handled the camper solidly, even the rough offroading in the river bottom.

On race day there were 9 boats....6 heats with thousands of folks lining the river bank for miles.

Finals day was 4 heats. The weekend was a blast and we came home Monday.

I want to thank all of you who helped us make the decision to get this camper. It is truly a well matched pair and we are looking forward to many more trips.

That looks like a blast. We road the commercial jet boat in Hells Canyon a few years ago. It was lots of fun, but I would love to had hold of the wheel and throttle.

From 2005, 06, 07-2008 summers I worked cooking at a remote fish camp 20 miles from nowhere on the Snake towards Jackson Hole. We used jet boats to get the supplies and everything else to camp...no roads. It was really a blast. I loved running the river every day. I do miss it!

Hi Dianne:

I've added a new section to trip Reports, called: Jet Boat Races (TCing at)...This is where your (and others) posts will go. I understand you do this as an annual event?

Cheers,

Love the jet boat races but always seem to have something else going on each year... I think I need to change my priorities. Where is that you were camped, looks like the same spot we stayed last time we went to the Riggins Rodeo?
