Whazoo - My "kids" think so too. 17/19 and they still want to spend time with me. The trees are nice but they sure do block the view in the summer time.

BradW - Yep, thought of some of the pics you have posted.

seldomseensmith - You get plenty of water, it's just in the form of snow - something we don't get. I was looking on google and found a few more roads I'm itching to drive down, so more will be coming.

bka0721 - My youngest daughter's first camping trip was when she was 6 weeks old so we've made lots of memories over the 17 years.

richardvi - I was hoping to get a water purifier but ran out of time. I'll be ordering one to try here very soon. Will come in handy because we are almost never away from water for more than a mile or two.

DJ - been through Idaho once and hope to be back there too. So I need some post reports from you too.

GoinThisAway - the water sure did seem a lot colder, how did we ever swim in it? Weight limit was posted just for you, glad you didn't follow my advice as it's a long way back out to I40. Nope, none followed me home.

umbrellajive - Thanks for identifying the llamas. Figured regardless of which, they probably use them on the trails.

turtletalk - My pleasure. Growing up, my family camped in the Pisgah area from 1970-1980 so I have lots of memories. I want to see the trip report of you making some more memories or I'll have to do another trip to bring back some more memories.

Nice country and critter pictures Kohldad.
Only thing missing was the mashed potatos and gravey with those turkeys.

Working on them. I grabbed the trail map but it doesn't have the info. I need to go back out and grab the auto tour pamphlet which I'm sure has the info on it.

Will try to make time to go get it this weekend, but horse show comes first.

Finally fixed the xxxx's.

Now I'm ready to go back myself after reading my own trip report. Should be some young elk calves to watch play.
