"Sorry David
Like most if you search old topics you will see what I mean. This topic has been posted so many times it is getting OLD."
...Maybe it isn't the topic that is getting old, for I am enjoying it, and have been curious about the Target angle as well. OLD??? Horrors! I'm getting there fast, but have yet to check out a Wal-Mart or Target, but it could be very convenient. I have been shopping at Wal-Mart and seen motorhomes at the end of the lot. I have seen them in the morning emerge, scratch themselves, return to their motorhome and then prepare to leave. I wonder about the relative safety of a parking lot as to just parking on the street?

From necessity full time in 31 ft Winnebago Chalet provided by God in an emergency. Help me pray for a larger motorhome!

Dean,
K-Mart has a lot of stores closing. Parking lots should be empty. Don't know if I want to be the only one around, might give someone ideas. Think I will pass on this.

Rumor has it that Wal Mart is going to start selling cars and used Rv's at several locations in Texas on a trial basis. They are also considering charging $15 per night to park overnight in their parking lots since they have had to add security in severel locations. They estimate that between 6,500 and 7,000 RV's are parked each night across the US. At $15 per/7,000 that is $105,000 per night x 7 = $735,000 per week = $38,220,000 per year of income they will have for doing nothing!

ENJOY!! [emoticon] [emoticon]

Except that if they do add security, then it won't be for nothing.
I think it might be worth $15 if there is a security guard on duty all night.

Not sure about that. Sounds a little pricy since lots of c.g. not much more with elec. and water, and maybe even a tree or two.

Sounds like a rumor trying to spread itself around.

7000 RV's per *night* parked at Wal-Mart. Average. So say on Memorial weekend when lots more people travel it's probably 50,000. Per Night.
