i cant believe that they would charge for parking.
to me it seems that they would be open for too many headaches as far as liabilty for anything that would happen on their lot. i think as long as they unofficially let rvers stay there this practice will continue.

This sounds like my old play ground. Pilots have a lot of waiting time and many used to start rumors to see how much they would change in one or two times around. Sometimes hard to even recognize second time around.
Needless to say I don't place much stock in rumors

A parking lot is always my last choice. I prefer to pay the 20 to 30 dollars and get a real spot with a place to plug in and relax in a somewhat peaceful atmosphere for a few hours.

It was in the same article in the newspaper that talked about the sale of cars and rv's.
It is probably a rumor!!

rahytx, I think you are making pilots out to be evil-rumor-mongers... by the way did you hear that Air Force One is shiny on the bottom to deflect heat-seeking missles ?

Color on the bottom wouldn't make a bean of difference--heat-seeking missiles go after the heat from the engine exhaust. Sounds like another baseless rumor.

Not too sure about bottom of AF1. Was in hardware store yesterday and gal asked if I had heard the FedEx and UPS were merging. I said no and speculated on the many issues surrounding such a merger -- where upon she told me the new name for the merged companies FedUp. Hook line and sinker :>)

Enron and Motorola are merging, new name 'Moron'.

Credit goes to Click and Clack for that one !

The 'rumor' about Air Force One was, of course, bull-pucky spread by a pilot ( myself )

This thread has 2200+ visitors so far, boy are we bored.
