What a beautiful place this is! I wanted to share a few pics of this historic place. We really had a great time and the best part: I didn't have to park half a mile away where they want RV's to be parked. I just drove directly to downtown and parked in the middle of the action, in a regular parking space. Love it!

You're right. My first memory of that beautiful little city coincided with my first train ride from Jacksonville at age 5. That was 57 years ago. The fort appeared huge. Of course, I've been back many times as an adult and always marvel at how the fort has shrunk. [emoticon] Still remains one of my favorite places to visit. Next time you are there, go across the Bridge of The Lions to O'Steens for shrimp.

Florida is a beautiful area. Sometimes I wished we lived closer so we could explore it. Beautiful pictures.

DW and I went to St. Augustine about 4 years ago and had a great time. We also went to Fort Matanzas. We had never seen a fort built like that. We were also highly impressed with the dining hall at Flagler College. We stayed at Anastasia State Park and bought the trolley tour ticked. It was a good way to get around.

That's our favorite places to camp. Nice photos, and I like the composition too.

St. Augustine is a beautiful place to visit. Last time we were there we didnt have a truck camper yet. Next time we go, I hope it is just one of many stops we make while exploring the atlantic seaboard...thanks for the trip report and pictures.
