Aw, man.... That is some great stuff. Beautiful pictures and very informative narrative. The ONLY thing that could make it better would be if it were me taking the trip instead of you! I'm definitely looking forward to Part 2.

Thanks for sharing.

Never had the opportunity to visit this area of our country, but after looking at the pictures, you inspired me as well. I just e-mailed the link of this adventure to my wife. We will start planning...Thank you so much for sharing the pics and the very nice descriptions associated with them. The funniest line? "one of those "bed-wetting Prius drivers" (who said that???)". Love your sense of humor. People in my office were wondering why I was laughing so hard. Yes, I know, I should be working and not "visiting" the SW.

BTW, you mentioned "we got the handicap spot". What is the difference between a regular spot and a handicap spot in an RV park?

Again, thank you for sharing! Now going to Part II. :-)

Thanks! Glad to read that you've enjoyed my efforts. I wish I could take all the credit for the funniest line, but that was a nod to one of our moderators who used a similar line recently. It cracked me up, too.

At this particular campground, the handicap spot of course has the blue sign, and another other one saying "Take this spot last". It also was the most level of all the sites, had a picnic table that would accommodate a wheelchair, and a handicap water fountain at the campsite.
