If you get into the UP of MI my suggestion would be to stay at Porkypine Mountain there is a state park there near lake in the clouds. Then ride the bikes up to Copper Harbor and around the Keeweenaw. Also McClaine Sater Park is on Lake Superior on the west side of the Keeweenaw and in a nice place to ride from.
