x2. I even went as far as to first coat the whole wing in fiberglass resin before I put it on the camper.

Tutorial is here: CLICKY

Bottom line is that you have to have a photo host like photobucket and upload the pic there and then link to it here.

Just got a reply from Lance. Replacement wings are $230 plus a $30 crate fee PLUS shipping. But it included everything new needed including caulking, moldings, etc.... I'm going to slice off the piece of filon this afternoon with my dremel and a cutoff wheel and see what is to be seen under it. Not sure which direction I'm going yet.
Unless they are sending you a new rot proof composite material wing, you can build better yourself!

I bought this Truck camper this winter as a project for me and my 7yr old boy Evan. It had rot on left rear corner due to awning installation, and the right wing rot due to road spray and bad seal. The left sewer wing is good. The camper is very nice and has a generator. Botton line is I didnt want to spend alot of money on a camper, and we love projects. Ill have 4500.00 total price of camper and repairs. Now I did all of repairs myself. The picture of the camper on my truck was the day I brought it home. The rear wing was bad so I removed it and replaced it with 3/4 plywood and glued 1/8 plywood to it with liquid nails and brad nails. The fiberglass panel is PFR bought in 4x8 sheets at Lowes 35.00 sheet. Got latex PFR glue used v notch trowl and glued the PFR to the 1/8 plywood. Once glued use hand roller do roll the PFR into the glue start in the middle and remove the air. Ill reuse all trim pieces. Use old wing as pattern for the new 3/4, 1/8 and PFR pannel The slide out was bad also same thing rebuilt with 3/4 x 1 1/2 pine from Lowes some steel angle brackets and the 1/8 plywood. (mom pop lumber yards have old 4x8 1/8 ugly panneling that I bought for 5 bucks a sheet and use the BACK to glue the exterior to.) So far it has turned out great. Ill install the slide out tomorrow. Ill put the laminate floor in the camper and the slide out. Lowes usually has 2-3 boxes of the lamanate floor on clearance. Evan and I will be camping at hit miss engine shows this summer in style. Ill post more pics later thanks for looking, pictures are not in order

Wow! Very Impressive Repair Job. I can't wait to see it finished. I wish I had your skills. Thanks for posting, you give the rest of us hope in repairing our campers.

Excellent work there. Interesting that the filon is much more flexible than I thought it was to see how far you've curled it back. How did you separate your flion from the underlayment under it?

I used a 6 inch drywall trowl and kinda jamed it in between. These pics are of the finished left rear corner. It needs washed and buffed yet. The other pics are where I reinforced the tie downs. Under the gas tanks they have a 3/4 x 1 1/2 pine THATS ALL!!!! So I bolted a 2x3 aluminum angle and sealed around everything, the corner turned out good. These repairs can be done for very inexpencive

When I replaced the wings on my Lance, I soaked the filon off of the luann then used 6" trowel and a machette to get the filon off of the deteriorated luann then used a 60 grit sander to remove any glue still visible. Since the frame on the wings was rotted, the luann and filon came off easy. The hardest part was the staples around the edges but careful extraction did the job. Good Luck
