Hopefully, the deconstruction is complete. Once the pictures come thru I'll post them. I've been able to remove all the rotted stuff and most all of the wet stuff. There's still a little wet here and there. There must be something I can put on it to pull the water out besides air. Air might be the one tho. Anyhow, Its certainly fixable.

I've removed the luan from both the outer and inner filon sheets. How do you remove the residual and glue?

I used a DA air orbital sander with 120 grit and held my left hand on the falon and sanded with my right hand kinda presing the falon into my sander, it worked great. Using the air compressor blew all the dust off real good and with a damp rag wiped the 1/8 ply and the falon before trowling on the glue.. Love to see your pics when you get them. The kids and I camped last night the camper was fantastic ,im glad it finished.....

1/8 luan is special order at Lowes. I bought 2 sheets last summer for $20.00 each No one even at the professional desk even knew that they were available until I gave them the SKU and Lowes order number. I found the numbers on line by going to the National Lowes site and did a search
1/8 x 4 x 8 Lauan Hardwood Plywood
Item #: 95321 | Model #: LBR95321

hope this helps

It does. I'll take those numbers with me! Thanks!

Am not finding Latex FRP adhesive in anything but a 3.5 gallon tub for $55 at lowes. Is there a substitute? Or is it available in smaller quantities someplace else for less??

Yes Lowes has the big tubs, I got mine at OC Cluss lumber yard in a 1 gallon for around 21.00. Check your smaller lumber yards. Its used alot for installing tub shower surrounds.

My local Lowes can find the sku but they can't get it shipped to Maine. they said there isn't a price or anything available to them. Called my local lumber yard, they said they don't carry, try the big box. So it looks like I'm going to have to buy a sheet of the "5.2mm" and belt-sand off a layer or so to get down to an eighth.
