Inner hardboard test fitted to the inner FRP:

Question: I was able to lay the outer FRP and laminate down on my bench to assemble and weight down while it cured. How the HECK am I going to put pressure on the inner FRP and laminate while still on the camper??

Laminates are done. I borrowed a friends electric stapler and am planning to restaple the edges as they were from the factory. However, the FRP is darned hard $H!T!! The staples just crush up and don't penetrate the surface! I've managed to get a few thru, but most don't make it. I'm going to look for steel staples, not sure if that's gonna make a difference.

Thoughts?

Mine is electric and it's mangling the staples as it is! Air would just mangle them more efficiently no??

I'm really hoping it looks better once the swelling goes down. [emoticon]

It really looks like they used something non-hardening as waterproof fill under the end caps. Yes, silicone makes up the waterproof and hard fillets but is the other stuff they are using like Dicor? It's not simply silicone because that would be hardened material and this stuff isn't.
