Have you tried getting the extend-a-stay? It hooks up before the regulator on the MH?

The regulator is NOT fused to the pipe. If you look at the picture I posted earlier you will see the regulator can be removed from the pipe that goes to the special connector. The regulator DOES unscrew if you give it enough force. NO, you will NOT damage it but I did buy a second regulator from Coleman just for this hookup and to also have an unmodified one .... which I have never used.

I have used my roadtrip grill on a 20lb tank for the past 4 yrs. I'm sure you could get fittings to conect it to your MH.
