well I'm on the road again, this time it's a 3 day horse show on the coastline of the Montery Bay just north of Watsonville. I'm looking forward to seeing some old friends and feeling that cooling coastal fog. Like most of the country we have cooking along at 95-100* during the day

75* at 6am up at my place in the mountains.

Glad to see that you're escaping the heat. It's been mid 90s here also. Looks like you've got a good parking spot up next to the trees. And you're making me hungry with that steak dinner [emoticon]

Day one is winding down. No one got hurt, hung out with some friends. Made a real tasty dinner and I'm kicking back with a non alcoholic beer listening to the Giants vs Bucks on KNBR...life is good.

Well there is a reason why they hire me as the onsite EMT

I do hate it when this happens though.

I just sent one competitor off to the hospital with a possible wrist fracture. At least we didn't have to call an ambulance for a head injury this time.

And of course I'm roughing it this morning

It is so nice to me able to roll out of bed and be at the jobsite instead of gettin up hours earlier and rushing out the door and driving for an hour to get here.

Spent the first night sleeping with my new matress bed topper. 2" of memory foam plus 2" of synthetic down...super comfy

Hey it's a rough life but you know sometimes someones just has to do it. [emoticon]

I almost had to turn on the heat in my house this morning. It was 47 degrees here this morning and 66 in the house. But I resisted as it is supposed to get to 79 here today after a high yesterday of 68. The weatherlady had called for a low of 38 this morning but I guess she missed it but what else is new.

I know when we move out of MT there well be times when I miss the cooler temps but not in the winter when it is -20 I won't.
