To think, we're lucky enough to have all this right here in our back yard !

Fried clams with the belly are the best! And hard to get, I dont think the bellies can be frozen. So they must be fresh!
Nice pics. Im trapped at home by work. Cant complain, to much, work makes play possible. So I live vicariously through the trips of others for the moment.
Thanks for the mini escape [emoticon]

Imagine - an honest-to-goodness real vacation, with a beach and blue skies and everything. Now, was that so hard? [emoticon] Thanks for sharing (and don't wait 'till summer's over for your next outing!)

After a good dose of LL Bean and a little DeLorme for desert we skipped the Kittery Trading Post we stopped at Wall Drus once... enuf said, or at least imagined)

I still have things that I bought from LL Bean in 1960.

LLBean is a destination site for many people. They have everything as many here already know. We bought a king size bed from them earlier this year and had it delivered by a big freight truck... hardly a month goes by that we don't order something from them... always the highest quality... free returns.

It rained while we were there too... a couple of weeks earlier than you... last year.

Thanks for sharing... Mrs Dunes is looking good as always... and you did in the earlier post.

Did you get any more pictures through the moutains?

Silver, Thanks for the trip report and photos. That's what I liked about New England, the quaint villages and the beauty of the area. And, the seafood.

Cheers, Vic!

NYC Steve: not a good idea to freeze bellies, you're right. This summer has been brutally busy for us, too. I seems like everyone is disaster planning these days, running every possible scenario; if this keeps up, we won't have another vacation possibility for 15 years [emoticon]

Seldom Seen: it may work out that our "summer vacations" won't happen till February, from here on [emoticon]

Spaced-out: the fishing villages/ports just seem to pop-up every 15 minutes along the coast there!

Weymard: merci!

Sleepy: we would have liked to take more of the White Mountain region (and planned on stopping at several boondocking sites), however the bridge out forced us a long roundabout to the north.

Heck, those are real good pictures Silver and Dunes. I'm feeling relaxed just looking at them, and cooler too. I sea you do the same thing I do for a picture...take off glasses! See ya Silver...
