Did you have the washing machine barrel campfire. Nice pics. Brings back fond memories of the one 2 (or was it 3?) years ago with 3 tons and wife, and Cannon George.

It just goes to show, that you don't need to put away the TC for the colder months. Thanks for the wonderful Fall visit to Yosemite. Congrats to you and your patient wife, on your 44th! I am like you; in that I have that special place/National Park I have been returning to every year, for the last 39. I don’t want to break the run, anytime soon. I hope you two will continue to make the journey as long as you want.

Thanks for all the anniversary well wishing. Whaz, a few hundred feet up the Saddle Bag Lk. road it still turns to dirt. We had reservations that night in Upper Pines Campground, so we kept going on west into the Valley of the Yosemite. One more pic of the Sierra Crest near Tioga Pass:
Gerson, we're there almost every year (last year was a bust because of the 4 feet of snow at our place) but I think it was 3 years ago. How's the canine family?
I did not bring the washing machine tub fire barrel, but the guy next to us has the same rig only with a custom made kind of funnel top and stove pipe that exited about 7 feet in the air reducing the smoke consumed by the attendees. And it did put out a lot of heat. It looked like a poor man's civil war tent stove. I wish I'd taken a picture of it. I'm scheming on a round 1/8" plate, cut in half with welded heavy hinges and three 'keeper studs' to keep centered, and one side with a pipe ring just larger than the stove pipe welded to one side (with exhaust hole), three pin holes to keep the pipe upright, handle on the blank side for loading while combusting. Everything breaks down for transport.
Oh well.
regards, as always, jefe

Nice trip report! Yosemite is one park I have yet to visit.

Congratulations on your 44th.

We celebrated our 41st last Monday at Gulf Shores CG. I still find it remarkable I found a good woman who can put up with me this long.[emoticon]
