Recently got my RV insurance through the AARP/The Hartford Insurance Program. I saved about 30% off the renewal quote from my prior insurer, National Interstate. I needed to become an AARP member to get the discount, but I still saved over $400 net on a one year policy.

I'm insured with Geico, but I can't recommend any insurance company to you or anyone else due to there's too many variables to consider from coach to coach (gas-diesel, multi car, insured for $500K or a million etc.)?

There are two types of credit inquiries, hard and soft. A hard inquiry is when you're actually applying for a loan or credit card, and does count against your credit score. A soft inquiry is a review of your credit status, which is what an insurance company would run, and does not affect your credit score.

Having a little experience at this, let me give you my basic opinion. Fortunately people insuring their RV have a network of RV Specialists accross the country to gather quotes from literally every carrier who authors real "RV Insurance" (including fulltimers coverage). Where ever you live, or base from, find one of these specialist near you and have an "RV Insurance" conversation. You'll feel better and secure the right policy for you. I would not feel comfortable buying RV insurance from a person who doesn't know the difference from a Class A and Class B or C.

I would like to hear from this great community regarding your findings and real world experiences with any and all companies.
I've been researching fulltimer insurance and found Miller Insurance Agency the best. For fulltimers w/o a house, they can also quote Umbrella Liability insurance. They're an agency so they're able to shop around.

One question I have is: Should the coach ever be a total loss, are there companies that would pay for a new coach of the same quality, and, if so, is that premium too expensive. I definitely don't want to be underinsured.
I think if your coach is less than 10 (or 5?) years old, you may be able to purchase full replacement. After that, I think it's either NADA value or "Agreed Upon" value. Since my 2001 DP is outside full replacement zone, I can have my RV's value appraised and then pay for that dollar value of replacement if it's totaled. I think some folks have their replacement cost tied to the ever-depreciating NADA value. Make sure you know what you're buying.

I've had quotes on my car and motorhome from Geico, Progressive, GMCA, Good Sam, and others, and I have not found anyone to beat the price of AAA. I do have coach net for roadside assistance on my motorhome.

Unfortunately, in the Great Nanny State of Massachusetts, we are very limited in choices when it comes to insurance companies as our Dear Leader decides what companies may write policies here (apparently, us consumers are way too stoopid, and need someone to look out for us).
We are with Progressive, because it's one of the few that are available.

Jim, rest assured Progressive is one of my personal favorites. In fact 94% of all claims are handled and PAID in the first 72 hours of the reported claim. For us Progressive's claims are handled among the best. (I'm not saying "perfect")...Tommy

Tommy...good to know. It's strange that Mass has a $0 deductible glass requirement that somehow Progressive got around, but still seemed like the best alternative. I'm considering moving my cars over to them as well...
