We travel in a motor home with an adult double yellow headed amazon parrot. We haven't had any problems and have only been in the U.S. with him. Thanks to someone here for their suggestion, we have an electric perch to keep him warm when it's cold. bcnu, bobbinail

We travel with a mourning dove rescued after falling from the nest and abandoned by the parents. My DW nurtured and raised it. It loves her, doesn't like me though.

we camp with an African Grey Congo. Grace is a great traveller and loves to camp. She doesn't scream, her loudest noise is a musical whistle, but mostly she is quiet.

Wow!!! I didn't realize that that many people triveled with there pet birds...

To be honest I don't know why it suprizes me.. Taz (dog) goes everywhere with me.

I have a Nanda Conuri for the past 18 years now.
His name is Boomer.

But as you can tell from my rig picture I don't think I would be able to travel very well with Boomer... LOL

We live in BC and found out that you can't take birds across the border - they are under quarantine. We travelled with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a pair of cockatiels. The Tiels loved it and had a ball - like I say we only stopped taking them when we found out we couldn't go to the states with them.

Sadly when I sold my home to go full time the people who were going to adopt my 2 parakeets backed out the day of closing and I had to take them with. I thought boy is this going to be a giant pain.

Best thing that could have happened! They have come with on our journey and they are always happy and excited when we pull into a CG and they get to hear the different native birds and end up talking and singing back to them all day.

Hard to be unhappy with them chirping happily away everyday.
