When we first got our camper, that's how we "broke it in". The advantage is if you have a problem, there is a house close by. We also used it when we lost power for a long time.

Anyone else ever camp in the driveway?
We haven't... but why not? You and the kids would probably enjoy it.

Well we tried it and it worked great! I have a dump and 30 amp outlet at my place so I was able to test everything out in the new trailer.
It will come in handy as "guest room" with full hook ups I have.
I really like this thing. My only complaint thus far is where the potable water tank is. But that is a seperate discussion.

never did it. I just prefer my home since I am here. I like my home ![smile [emoticon]](http://www.rv.net/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif)
I don't know why but never had that draw to stay in it in the driveway.
now if I had grandkids, maybe in the future it would be cool, but home is ok for now.

I always do it when I get a new camper to test it out and get the feel for it. I've have done it too when I have company and I have to work early the next day. This allows them to stay up later and talk while I sleep comfortably in my camper. And, I have done it too because for some reason I can't understand I sleep better in my camper.

Absolutely ... enjoy the TT everywhere! We just wrote about taking our TC to church ... to the airport ... everywhere (and for us, we sometimes have to do our work while camping).
We camp in our driveway, and in the backyard. It's our "escape pod" from the daily-ness (is that a word???) of life ... probably the same for the kids. We haven't put a fire ring in the driveway yet though --- I'll leave that to someone else

We did that, once. The neighbors took exception to us having a campfire in the street and using the outdoor shower. Acutally they took exception to me using the outdoor shower. They had no problem with DW using the outdoor shower.
Just kidding.
Done it several times. Great for trying out the new camper. Also use it as a backup when there is a power outage. We are on a well so when the power goes out - we have no water. It is great to have a backup source of water!

Of course, one Memorial Day we camped in our back yarfor the weekend. The second day their was a tent two lots down from us and Sunday night there were tents and trailers in five of the surrounding lots.
Our TT is being used this week as a guest house for our daughter and family.
