Good Lord all mighty.....that is some scary stuff right there.

i agree about the pucker factor..my heart started beating a little faster just looking at the pics, then when you got her all leaveled out and started showing those beautiful photos my heart started up again, truely some of Gods greatest work out there.

i think my rig would have went over as well, the last bind i was in snaped a fuel tank strap.

thanks for those great pics.

That is amazing! What beautiful scenery but I couldn't imagine taking my 1150 through that but now that I have seen it done I might get a little more Adventurous!! How did the camper hold up with all of the twisting and bouncing do you notice anything moved or coming apart? Again thank you for the pictures incredible.

Your awesome trip report proves what I have believed all along - if you're willing to suffer a few scratches and dings you can go just about anywhere in your rig..... although I will say you definitely tested the limits of what a DRW and full size camper can do!

The payoff comes from getting to some incredibly beautiful country with a fully equipped home-away-from-home and no one else to disturb your serenity. My hat's off to you for your intrepid foray into a paradise most folks will never visit. Thanks for sharing the story and pictures.

I will say one thing....you have more guts than I do. Once my wife saw the front wheel off the ground, we'd be out of there. Great pics and great job!!

We're not worthy! We're not worthy!!!

Amazing stuff. Your trip sums up WHY we own TCs. Nobody has the combination of comfort and capability that we have.

Gives a good example of why you want a short wheel base for rough country travel. I have a rig of about the same size and have done the same sort of trip and that could be the reason I rip air bag brackets and tear up shocks, LOL. Thanks for posting and good job on finding a better way out.

Holy Molly Pajolly!!! That was one heck of a trip! After putting yourself and your rig through all that I think I would have stayed at least a week though! Thanks for sharing your trip with us... showing others just what we have our camper for! I'm too chicken for that though... [emoticon]

Beautiful scenery and I take my hat off to you - its one thing taking my rig down routes like that, but you da man for taking your big truck and camper along those tracks.

I added a switch to override the front axle drive on my truck so I could manoeuvre slowly on pavement using low ratio in 4x2 - makes a load of difference.

Steve.
