I am interested in others opinions of the service. We will be in teh Florida area for the second half of January through mid March. We have taken care of as many normal mail items as possible through on-line banking etc. But we still will need to be aware of any "special" items that may come up. Looking for input and possible suggestions for other ways to handle mail issues. In the past we have always stayed in one place for the period of time away so we could use the USPS forwarding system. We have used them now going on 4 years. They are wonderful. We have them trash the junk mail therefore the postage is lower on the items they send me. I have them forward to General Delivery wherever we are camping.

I've used St. Brendan's Isle in Green Cove Springs, Fl for a number of years. They've been around since 1988 and my service has been excellent. Since I enter the State most often using I-95 or I-75, they were far more convenient for the initial set-up of Domicile, which I understand you aren't interested in. The Good Sam Mail Service is actually done through "myRVmail". I spoke to them on the phone today and the woman I spoke to was exceptionally helpful and super friendly. While their rates are not the cheapest, I appreciated seeing "Happy Travels & God Bless!" on the bottom of the information page. I think the ability to view your "inbox" online and select what you want trashed, shredded and forwarded is awesome and worth the price.
Oh, and the address they give you is easy to use and doesn't look too much like a hokey address some places might frown on:

You're absolutely correct.... on the surface. However... LOL... haven't you learned by now that cheaper isn't always less?

And then... from a full timer's perspective we haven't even discussed any difference in insurance rates between Crestvew and Green Cove Springs, FL.
I'll pay my basic plan of $11.99/mo with $100 on deposit and no contract. When my balance gets down to $10, I'll pay another $100 and so on. If and when it becomes necessary, I'll add a Mail Scan Pro Service Plan. If applicable, I'll exercise my inactive service option when I'm not traveling?...Part timers don't want to pay for a service when they aren't on the road.
I say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you're happy with their service and think GS's rate is cheaper, I strongly urge you not to change.

This gets interesting I have used American Home Base out of Pensacola Florida for the past four years with great success. Apparently they are no longer the Good Sam mail forwarding company? They are still $10.00 per month
This is the first time realized they are no longer the "Good Sam Company"

We have used American Home Base for 5 years, and we didn't realize that it was no longer connected with Good Sam until I read about it the above blogs. We really like their service and price, I call, or go online and have our mail sent. Tena and the rest of the crew are always very friendly and thorough, they toss obvious junk mail, and we have never missed our mail. $10/month plus shipping by whichever service and speed you'd like. This is our 20 year full-timing, and in the past we relied on family and friends, it is a real inconvenience to them as they have their own lives going on, and they don't need to worry about our mail too. I highly recommend American Home Base.
