We took a little trip to the lower SW deserts from Feb.27-April 6/13, to shake off some of the winter blues. These are a couple of photos of the trip. You can catch Part 1 of the trip on daveincoldstream.blogspot.com

Where the photo was taken is the town CG. I'm not sure if the state park was closed but we had a very nice evening by the river. Took some nice shots of the Columbia next morning.

Jefe,

I keep up on your trip reports and my bones start rattling just reading where you take that truck camper. It's good to see that there are still guys like you that have a sense of adventure and like to record it.

Still a little early for that high end RV resort in Yuma for you.

Keep doing what you do best.

Thanks I took a look at your blog, the scenery in the photos of B.C. makes me want to relocate to B.C, it sure is beautiful. I know now that B.C. is on my must do and cant wait to visit. Everything is pristine, and absolutely breath taking thank you for sharing, it was better than a travel brochure

Great looking trip report.

And thus you made a better choice.

Hey, Catalina State Park is only about 8 miles from my house. Been on the Sutherland trail and to the Romero pools several times.

But Mt. Lemmon is only 9100 ft. You didn't hike all the way up there, did you? Next time you're in the area, take the back road up there.

Cool trip. As impressive as it is in pictures, that big wood trestle must be a sight to the naked eye.

Devildog1971,

BC has unlimited possibilities for backcountry exploration if you are willing to take the time to research the areas. If you want some suggestions for places to visit, PM me and I might be able to help.

cewillis,

I stand corrected on Mt Lemon,s height. It's high enough to have snow in April which is kinda neat for the desert.

We thought about hiking up the Sutherland trail and down the Romero pass route but it would be very long and there was a fair bit of snow that fell up near the summit so the going would have been tough.

We did drive up the paved road to Summerhaven.
