Great Trip Report, Photos and Videos. Thank you very much for posting. I need to purchase a 4X4 truck and smaller camper to be able to join you. Looks like everyone had a fantastic time!

c.traveler2,

You and the Bros like to get out there and get down and dirty. I follow your TR's and you don't take the easy road.

Nice stopping in the middle of the desert and listen to the sounds at night. We have found that coyotes seem to be all around you at night.

A big fire on the desert is important as there is such a difference from day to night temps. Is that a home made fire bucket made from a washing tub?

It's great to follow the roads that are in your trip by the maps. One day some of us may follow.

Dave

jefe4x4 had brought the portable fire pit, its a steel wash tub that allows plenty of air in for good combustion.

Dave,
Yes, that's the interior tub from a washing machine. Many holes for breathing, baked on or stainless steel finish, 3 bolted on round cast iron stancheons with threaded center holes to accept 3, 12" nipples with caps as legs. The legs come off for travel. Cheap/quick/dirty. The forest service likes these instead of a campfire.
Nice to relive the trip again.
fine job, Alex. Thanks again.
regards, as always, jefe

This trip had a lot of drama. First, for 2bro, it was his last. He died 10 days ago. 2ndly, it was a trip for the 4 Reynolds' brothers, plus my Son Matt (who has essentially the same DNA), cousin Reynald, and Alex who was supposed to come with his brother but had to cancel last minute. Everyone but Alex had a proximity DNA. This is how the bros trip came to pass. I'm glad it did.

Thanks for sharing... there are such a limited number of people that have the guts and the equipment to do expeditions like this...
... the stuff dreams are made from.
