This thread is for discussion related to next year's Annual RV.net Class B Rally. Click here to go to the Annual RV.net Class B Rally website.

Nominations for the next rally can be submitted during June & July, 2013.

The nomination process is described here.

Remember, these rallies continue due to the contributions of members of the Class B - Camping Van Conversions forum on RV.net. It is a member driven process. No nominations, no rally.

Not an actual nomination but April and I are hoping for something in Kentucky.

What happened to the B 10 rally forum. Is that forum dead. Had to leave comments in the B 10 page.

It's still there ... I just looked at it.

Since I am new to all this ... has anyone had any ideas as to where B-11 should be?? I saw one poster suggest Kentucky might be a good location. My EX lives there so I'm not sure the state is big enough for the two of us. [emoticon]

Just kidding ... it is a beautiful state and I have been through several times. Don't know enough about it otherwise.

I do love the east coast. Maine comes to mind. Heck ... I live in Niagara Falls, Ontario ... the Honeymoon Capital of the World. Maybe that might be a good location. Problem is ... the campgrounds suck. The last time I visited someone in one it was a mud pit and totally disgusting.

Any other thought for B-11??

Karsty we are new to this as well, but hearing from others and as a distance thing near the middle of the country apparently gets the most response. The coasts and extreme corners will likely reduce participation. In the spring West TN, AL, AR, MO, OH, IN, IL NE, KS, SD (my personal favorite), CO, UT, IA, WI, KY, OK.

For discussion purposes only, I'm partial to Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina as potential rally states.

I vote for something near the Delmarva - Virginia, Maryland, Delaware. Absolutely beautiful area and so much to do - from nation's capital, to Assateague Island and the ponies, to the Jersey shore.

Paul and I are looking at B-11 sites in central Indiana. We are VERY busy this time of year, so we are spending limited time searching for suitable sites. Hope to have something to nominate by the end of July! Is anyone else looking????

Thanks Paul and Sherry!!

For those suggesting sites, take note. I think your suggested locations are fine, we just visited the Delmarva a week ago for example. However what Paul and Sherry are doing is the only way an area will become the site for a rally.

A site has to be proposed (nominated) by someone willing to help continue the Annual Class B Rally by finding a suitable RV Campground and (if it gets a majority of votes among nominated sites) be willing to organize a rally there with help from others.

If your site is chosen, you get to be the "decider" on what that year's rally will be in the way of program (if any) and food (if any). [emoticon] Usually, rally location, suggested date, and something about what kind of rally program you would like to do are part of the nomination.

Paul and Sherry,

You initially mentioned Elkhart which is northern Indiana at the B10 Rally. Do you now have something different in mind for central Indiana? One thing about central Indiana and I suspect anything between Chicago and Indianapolis is the weekend before Memorial Day's Indy 500 Race would be difficult. Campgrounds fill up for that qualifying weekend. I parked next to a guy race day from Chicago and he said the closest campground he could find was near Lafayette. He left the 5th Wheeler there and drove down in the pickup and was admiring my B. [emoticon]

Hi EVERYONE!

I have cleaned up several of the photos, from B-10, and added the only photo of the pet walk that was sent to us. I also redid the main page. Hope you like it? The photos can be downloaded but, unfortunately, one at a time. Here's the link:
http://www.military-rving.us/B-10_Rally/ClassB_Rally_2013.html

David, it has been suggested that I send these photos to you, and a copy of the Program. The StuffIt file is about 630MB. Can you manage that download?
