I think the OP left us... haven't heard from him in two months. Probably got enough recommendations.

The original post is from five years ago...Sept 2013...

Nice to see some of the suggestions, though, for those of us who are currently planning Michigan trips...

Whoa! 2013? I need to read more closely. I think he made his trip already. [emoticon]

Agree with recommendation for Munising Tourist Park CG. We also like the Bay Mills Casino RV Park in Brimley - does has FHU sites.

We did this trip at the end of July. Bugs were not a problem. Weather was nice but cool. I wore jeans all week. We liked Munising Tourist Park. I wish they didn't have so many lights at night. We did the Pictured Rock boat tour. Sit on the right side so you see the rocks going out. The falls tour uses the Catamaran, larger nice boat. We stayed at Indigo Bluffs. The RV park side is really nice but very pricey. The campground is nice but most sites are sandy and four sites share utilty post with 4 water/power. Bring extra hose and power cord for this trip! There are web sites to monitor favorable conditions for northern lights. Have fun planning!

We are looking at Indigo Bluffs for 2019 mid-July. We are concerned at the CG side but should be doable but may splurge and stay on the RV side - live it up a little.
Thanks for your experience and will look at the tours.

Bring lots of bug spray. Black flies will bite and then carry you away.

Seeing as this post is 5 years old, I think the OP has already figured out what he needs to do.

Maybe? Some people like to plan far in advance!

BTW, it’s almost 10 years old! [emoticon]
