Re toilets: a lot of van dwellers use composting toilets with success. Solves the "black tank/where to dump issues"

My RVan is a converted conversion van and I tried the porta potty for a few years and hated lugging it, so now I use a Fold-to-Go Collapsible Portable Toilet with commode liners inside Hefty Slider 2.5 Gallon Jumbo Storage Bags and pop a baby diaper in there. Every couple of days I zip it up and toss it in the garbage.

This listing shows that old posts never die, they just fade away... slowly. And sometimes come back. LOL

Since this thread is seven years old, I think the kid has graduated, got married, had two kids, and now owns a C class with bunks for the kiddies. I could be wrong. lol For what it is worth, as a father of two grown university grads, I was informed by my kids while in school on the importance of socializing while in school. This includes staying in dorms etc. The social networks you make at school will help you later out in the workforce. Sleeping in a van, down by the river, smokin doobies, wont accomplish this aspect of getting an education. The kids where right. My eldest daughter is an engineer, and she got a referral to start her career from a contact she made at school.
