Hello,

Thought I would post the purchase of 2012 Ram Laramie 4x4 lb cc diesel
& 2013 Eagle Cap 1160.

June this year sold 2011 Chev Silverado lb sc 4x4 2500hd diesel with 16,000km's and bought 2012 Ram pickup.

Had to travel via plane 4000km's to Sydney then catch a train to Berrima, New South Wales, 5 hours south via train, then picked up at train station by Car Dealer.

Then headed of from Beresfield to Merriwa, 167 km's to Eldorado Motel, for first nights rest.

Stopping about 10.30pm, without a booking, Merriwa population <400, not really knowing where I was, had dropped and broken my cell phone.

Is the truck, with right hand drive, made for the Australian market, or is it somehow converted?

Good Morning, Up about 6am, no shops in Merriwa, too small, next stop at the end of the day Broken Hill, ,948kms

Did I really do that in a day. Sat on 115kph/72mph, no camper, using around 12-13 litres per 100 kilometres.

Kangaroos, Horses, Wombat's, Emu's, Packs of Goats, Wild Pig, Eagles, Crows, Sheep, and hundred's of Semi Trailer Trucks and biggest fog in the morning,
that as I came through the back Liverpool Range early in the morning, total fog cloud over the ground with a pink orange tint from morning sunrise, could not stop, narrow road, trucks everywhere, really wanted a photo.

Very lush, lots of rain, winter, Dubbo for Breakfast, Cobar for lunch, Broken Hill for tea, Chinese/Sweet & Sour Pork and any clean Motel I can find.

Broken Hill, Mining Town, Copper, Silver, Lead & Zinc, Cotton Farming, Tourism.

So far so good.

I remember turning on my CD player in the Ram, putting it on random and the first song played was, "Keep Your Hand Upon The Road & Your Eyes Upon The Road", very appropriate, I thought. Good CD's & song supplied by my son, Nicholas.

As soon as I arrived in Broken Hill, found a pnone shop, got a cheapie, went to find Motel, had Chinese, and what do you know, my Sim Card won't fit in phone need an adaptor for my micro sim. Will get one in Port Augusta tomorrow, hopefully. Two days without a phone!

Up and off at 6am, dark, cold, wet.

Broken Hill to Ceduna, 882kms, wanted a more relaxing day, maybe get some more photo's.

Want to have a nice Seafood Meal, at Famous Fishing town of Ceduna, booked 4.5 star accommodation, after getting sim adaptor for phone in Port Augusta.

Had two beautiful Pies for breakfast in Port Augusta.

Kimba for Lunch, a Rosie's Chicken & Salad wrap.

Arrived at Ceduna, 5.50pm just as the sun was going down.

Lotta driving, tomorrow, Ceduna, South Australia to Norseman, Norseman, Western Australia, 1200kms.

Saw two late model Chev Silverado 2500hd's between Port Augusta & Kimba, 30 minutes apart, same color, white, pretty rare out here.

Had Garlic Prawns for Tea, and a luxury King Bed on my own!

Nice truck, nice drive, and nice story. Would it not be cheaper to have Australia switch to driving on the right side of the road than to have your truck coverted? Just kidding. Looking forward to seeing the truck and TC mated.

They have to be converted an expensive process. Only Jeep sells vehicles made in RHD Directly from NA factories. They also sell the Chrysler 300 in RHD form but that maybe assembled in Austria.
