Damn it. You found our private lake! Yes Hosmer lake is pretty cool. Nice and peaceful campground. Great pics. Were heading to North Bend and Coos Bay in the morning for the week. We'll look for ya!

And here we are, in LaPine, waiting for the finals on the sale of our home, and then we'll be hitting the road!!!! Glad you enjoyed this part of the country....and LaPine state park is gorgeous. Will have to check out Hosmer Lake. [emoticon] Did you have enough bug spray?? how were the mosquitoes??????

Never had to put on a drop of bug spray, didn't see a single mosquito on our entire trip.

nope, got skunked...water was way too clear for a 6x leader, needed a 8 or 9x which I did not have with me and these were hard to fool wild fish.

Ahhh what fun!! Great photos! Thanks for sharing them with us. . I can't WAIT to get out in my new to me 1055!!!! OH the life of a working stiff! Retirement is 9 months and 1 day though!! Yahoo! I look forward to part II of your trip!

Great report! Always like to hear about a new place to check out from fellow campers. I am also a fisherman, but need to have a boat ramp to get myself in the water. Nice to see how you handled the Kayaks.
