It made my Saturday morning seeing the name Whazoo on the "Newest" post list.

Always fascinating, beautiful, funny, inspirational to ride along with you and Mrs. Whaz. And now the Whazitini.

That's what I was thinking it was. It looks like an old cable tool drilling rig. Cable tool rigs are also called pounders, percussion, spudder, or walking beam rigs. They operate by repeated lifting and dropping a heavy string of drilling tools into the bore hole. This is the oldest style of drilling and has been in continuous use for about 4000 years.

Beautiful photos and great TR, put a smile on my face this morning and Sue and I loved the pics of Odie! Glad you three were able to get out despite the evil tire companies campaign to shorten your trip.

Whaz,
Not trying to Dodge the bullet with Jimmy's Fording, I would still say "You still got it, I don't care what they say".

hey Dave & Lynn, so great to read some News about your actual trip to Capitol Reef. How I remember (as I already mentioned in Dougs trip report) our trip to CR.
Nice to see your new friend on four legs, really a funny guy, but he seems a bit "lazy dog", doesn't he ?? [emoticon] [emoticon]
cheers from Germany

Never argue with an idiot. You will be dragged down to their level and then beaten with experience.
