Neat in the extreme. I'd love to explore some of those ruins you're finding.

Well done!

Wow, what a great set of pictures. Will have to show the wife this post and add the area to our list. Thanks a lot for taking the time to post your trip report.

Excellent #2 report. I did a whirlwind road trip in some of the same areas around Moab and Four Corners area in Sept. Nice to see it from a WAY offroad perspective!

Thanks for sharing! This is exactly what I want to be doing in a few years ...

Searching some of the trails you went on, took me too "mtbproject" web site, nice tool to use in the future along with Strava Heatmap ..

Thanks again, I'll just have to keep drooling till 2017!

sabconsulting- Distances to get anywhere are a bit longer in NA as compared to England and to drive to interesting places, sometimes ya just have to "giver". Keep having fun.... It just makes you young.

profdant139- Looks like winters going to be a mild one up here in the Great White North. You guys in Cali might get blasted by precip.

c.traveler2- It's nice to be out exploring new areas. We try not to put the machinery through the same torture you guys do.

CaptBG- Lots of canyon hiking is not that for from the main roads but the hiking, now that may be a bit of a stretch for some.

Camp woof- Lots of bike trails out there. Don't wait, 2017 Is a long way off.

Thanks for the replies and comments everyone.

Dave.

What a fun trip!!!! My other half is on a heart transplant list so I'm not able to do this type of camping, but have in the past when I was single... so I'm living this experience vicariously through your posts! :-) Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventures with us!

Cheers!

Excellent trip report! Very well illustrated.

Is that a magnetic GPS receiver stuck to the hood of your truck?

Cheers,
