Looking at a RAM 2500 to replace my F250 and all the 2500s I looked at did not have mirrors that extended, are the existing mirrors OK for seeing behind the RV?

Try Cipa mirrors. Just the little extra that you need for less than $100. The best extended mirrors I ever had.

If equipped with trailer tow mirrors they will flip outward not extend out. Mine work great with our 100" wide 5ver. Usually forget to flip them and have to get out of truck to do the mirrors and get back in.

Did you try pivoting the mirrors upward and out? They do not pull out or extend out like Ford but pivot up and down so the mirror is vertical instead of horizontal. Those trucks you looked at may well have had the towing mirrors and you didn't realize it. They work just as well as the Ford mirrors did which is to say "very well"! You can see what I used to drive by looking at the rig photo in my signature. Have not had time or place to take a new picture of our rig. If it doesn't have the tow mirrors, I would have the dealer swap them out. The clip on type mirror extenders vibrate too much, and look cheap on a new truck.

They look like the ones in you pictures, how do I know if they are "tow" mirrors, how much further do they come out from the truck?

Ram's tow mirrors are among the best I have ever used. Very steady image in the mirror and plenty wide to see behind. Look at the window sticker, if it says tow mirrors the truck has them.

A coworker of mine was complaining he couldn't see when towing with his Ram. I didn't say a word, just went out at lunch and flipped the passenger side mirror into the tow position. His reaction was really funny, but nobody ever figured out it was me. 2005 Cummins 3500 2WD LB quad cab dually pulling a 2014 Blue Ridge 3025RL ![]() |

I did a mirror swap with Mirrors from 1Aauto.com on my 1500. I still have to take it to the dealer and have sales code "LEG" put in so they will orientate correctly when flipped.![]() Great American Anti-Towing Conspiracy 2015 Ram Truck 1500 Ecodiesel Tuned By Green Diesel 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD Tuned By Green Diesel (Retired to Daily Driver) 2015 Rockwood Roo 183 Stop on by and read my Camping Blogs Nights Camped in 2015 - 19 and Winterized ![]() |

I have the flip up tow mirrors on my 2014 ram 2500 TCD. I like them better than any mirrors that I have used in the past. I tow a 31' 5th wheel, really like these mirrors.

Ram's tow mirrors work great in towing mode but look kind of stupid. In regular mode they don't work as well. Not being big on aesthetics, I generally just leave them in tow mode.

Have to agree not a great non towing mirror . After towing with a Ford Superduty for a number of years I sure appreciate what decent mirrors it had regardless of what position. Ram could take a page out of how to build a decent towing, and non towing position mirror. |

I don't get the need to flip them out when not towing. Maybe it's the way I have them adjusted. I use both mirrors on one side. No problems seeing cars behind me or beside me. Now our 2015 Camry is another story. Hard to get used to those tiny mirrors after having large truck mirrors.
