NASCAR is notorious for making rules and for having a thick rulebook and for changing rules! NASCAR is also well known for letting the whole world know that only NASCAR is in charge of administering to the rules! NASCAR failed to turn on the caution lights (THIS will "FREEZE" the position of each racecar on the track). It's the MOST SENSIBLE thing to do, except that THEY FAILED to do it. THIS was the FIRST causal factor of all the screw-ups that occurred!

When NASCAR put Steve O'Donnell on TV to "explain" their process, that was a televised admission they screwed up. Kyle was PO'd and I don't blame him, and rather enjoyed him trying to spin out the pace car. Every other driver in the field involved in that "WWE Moment" should be angry as well. The race should never have started.

Yes, it will be something to listen to Steve O'Donnell on his "Morning Drive" tomorrow(Tuesday). Back pedaling all the way. Had they not sold their soul to the networks, the race could have started 12 noon East Coast time and most of the fiasco could have been eliminated. Another funny deal is "we couldn't see the rain because of being in tower, couldn't tell how dark it was getting because the tinted glass in the tower altered the light". Simple solution, get your butts out of the Ivory Tower! I've seen many Cup races over the years and several were started under caution for various reasons with weather being one of them. I too liked KB playing tag with the pace car, brings back memories when Buddy Baker crashed into the pace car at Texas World Speedway, and when Elmo Langley was driving the pace car, the driver in the lead would usually play bump and run with him.
And the crowds or lack thereof at Atlanta and New Hampshire! And of course FRANCECAR is on a two week hiatus while doing the Olympics.

We now have 13 race winners without Hamlin or Harvick. Will we see a race winner get bumped from the championship? Still can happen, wow.

There is no way that a series winner during the season should be "bumped" out of the championship, no matter who!

I would say a one year suspension and a gigantic fine would be in order.

KB will Not be reprimanded for playing tag with the pace car. Announced yesterday. FRANCECAR has much bigger fish to fry after the mass cluster this past weekend.
