I'm in. I like those kind of threads and sometimes find them useful when working on other stuff.

There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

Here's a pic during a winter snow storm this past winter of said motorhome. It's a 27 footer, on a Chevy P30 Chassis.

Here is where the first area of concern was. If u see damage anywhere close to looking like this, stay tuned, to see what this really turned into.

By the way, most of the wallpaper was still stuck to the paneling, until I started pulling on it. I didn't take a pic before that. After pulling some of it off, I decided to take some pics.

As you can see, the paneling was in pretty good shape, except for the mess at the lower right corner of the window. Even below the sink, the paneling seemed decent, but the wallpaper was starting to peel.

Before I go farther into this destruction, it was slightly before this that I also decided to put the motorhome on a weight diet.

Above the driver and co-pilot was a pull down bed. I had taken the mattress out and put in some plastic storage containers in it's place for storage, which we rarely used, so I decided to get rid of it.

Overhead bunk without the plastic storage bins.

And then the bunk removed. Doesn't that look better? More headroom, and probably lost 75 lbs or so.

One word of caution!!! When you remove the screws from the bunk, to release the end of the bunk from the spring loaded arms, make sure you have a way to hold those steel arms from flying up into the air. If you don't, you will have a nice hole in the ceiling, from when the arms fly upwards, when the weight of the bunk is no longer there to hold it down......LOL.

In my case, it didn't matter because I was planning to remove and replace the ceiling anyhow.....

As you can see, I removed the cabinets above the living room and kitchen windows on the drivers side. The wall up there looked pretty, or so I thought.

Here you can see the cabinets in the kitchen have been removed. The arrows point to where the microwave was, and the exhaust vent above the stove. The exhaust vent would prove to be an issue. Looking at the pic, the wall below the vent looks pretty good. No obvious signs of major leakage at this point.

Ah, what the heck... While we're at it, lets just take the cabinets off the other side of the living room wall. Might as well replace those on the passenger side as well so they match.

Several posters have created what I would call a blog but are on going details of small, medium, large and Huge! projects. Feel free to jump in and let us see what you are doing. The more gory details the better.

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
