Now, first, I'm not trying to flame the constant fire of who likes Honda vs. Chinese gens, or any of the other countless debates that end up flaring up when someone posts anything about gens.... I personally own 2 Hondas'...

So that being said..

I'm simply passing on a deal I think is a really good deal pertinent to those on a budget.

Home Repot (that's what I call them) has a sale ending today on a Honda-knockoff 1000/800 inverter genny, $149 with free shipping.

Sportsman Generator Sale ending today

PLEASE... don't drag this off topic about all the complaining of how good or bad it may be, we've done that a thousand times already. I'm just passing on what is a pretty good price on a budget genny. Not everyone can afford $700 for a 1k gen...

And the usual disclaimer, I'm not advertising it, or affiliated with Home Repot.

did you read the reviews on this thing, plastic housing broke, the choke lever broke, this was on only one guy who wrote a one star review. good enough review for me not to buy one. just like harbor freight, one guy wrote you could not even buy a fuels cap for theirs

6.7 Amps and not recommended for over 3000ft elevation. So what can you do with it? Trickle charge a battery at sea level and ??? I realize you are just passing along information, but ...

BTW: Harbor Freight has essentially the same generator for less. I think it was $88 with a coupon recently.

Link for that? The cheapest inverter generator I see is $500 on HF.

HD is sold out of the one the OP posted - for $150 I was going to give it a whirl. I have a specific use that would have really been great for that little generator.

I have the $80 generator from HFT, but it even it did good job on my camper when AC wasn't needed, it is 2-cycle and hard to start.
Since this year I bought patio boat, I figured out this might be good back-up for lot of my toys.
Order placed, thanks for posting.

I’m always looking for deals, so thank you for the link. I still prefer my convenient built in Onan running on LPG rather than schlepping additional devices and fuel, but a small quiet generator may come in handy elsewhere. I think my enclosed trailer could benefit from a generator that outputs 220vac, but that’s because I use it as a shop and garage when traveling with toys.

Their 2000 Watt version runs off propane out of the box, too.

Thanks for posting, even if too late. I gotta say, if I didn't already have the Honda 2000 to run the AC, this would be a tempting addition to put a charge in the batteries those times mother nature strings together a couple cloudy days.
