This does nothing for your pin and fifth wheel jaws.

Lucas Red and Tacky #2. I use it for everything from door hinges to gun grease. It can be found at Wal-Mart for $5.

Yeah, I would guestimate 95 percent of us use a lube ring. Still needs lube on the moving parts, pin and jaws.

I use a spray, dry film, molybdenum lube. No dirt attraction and only needs to be reapplied about twice a summer.

One pump of AMZ/OIL grease smeared evenly on kingpin shaft the hitch jaws clamp to. Just happens to be the grease I use on the 9 fittings on my TrailAir TriGlide, fitting on my B&W hitch and wheel bearings on the RV.

I have used white grease on ours since 2001. Easy to clean after arriving at home or the winter resort. The reason is I saw many pins with rust on them years ago.

First pic with grease and accumulated sand/dust. Second wiped, looks pretty much like the day I bought it.

I use wheel bearing grease, then slip a tin can over the pin when not towing to keep the grease clean. Use a 15 oz can and cut the top out with a can opener that cuts the edge of the rim rather than inside the rim.
