With great pain and sorrow I have to announce that I was informed of the death of one of our long time members.

John Davis, known here as j-d has passed away.

I considered him a good friend even though I have never met him,we exchanged a lot of information over the years.

He will be greatly missed by me and I am sure many others, his insightful and fact filled posts helped me with the many aspects of owning and maintaining a RV and the joy of this lifestyle, I am sure they had helped many others.

I will be sending a link to this post to his wife Judy.

Rest In Peace My Good Friend

When all else failed, JD was my go to guy. Having exchanged many PM's with him, I too became friends with a man I never met. His knowledge and common sense approach and kind manor was extended to me beyond repairing my coach. He offered advice and kind words that helped me in other aspects of my life. I had hoped to someday meet him in person but that was not to be. He will be missed and his advice and knowledge will remain with me for my lifetime.
People come into our lives for a reason and at a certain time when we need them the most. May God bless your family in their time of need , thank you dear friend for all your help.

Over my years here I have learned so much from people like j-d and I'm forever thankful. People like him are the reason I'm here. He made this a very comfortable place to be. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed until we are brought back together again.

I remember j-d's signature ... which was a classic I'll never forget: "If God's Your Co-Pilot Move Over".

I assume his life was centered around that.

Wow - very sad to hear this ....

JD was an excellent guy. Not only in his technical knowledge and willingness to share with all, but also his demeanor on this discussion forum. I will miss him. Makes me wonder about all you folks I communicate with on the forums. Is it time to reach out (I hate that term ) and retire and go to travel out to meet some of you? Know one here is getting any younger.

Again - Thank you JD

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was definitely one of the cornerstones of knowledge on these forums. He will be missed.

I, too, enjoyed reading his signature and often got a chuckle from it no matter how many times I read it.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
