Ever notice how the grandkids are extremely welcome and get along better with the grandparents than they do with their parents?

Kids and grandparents share a common enemy.

No thank you in my case. Unruly, destructive, loud, and bratty grand kids are NOT welcome in my home. Parents were taught better, but choose not to discipline their 'gone wild' children. Good luck to them when they become teenagers and rule the household.

Nice picture OPer.

That should be the case....but dayum, my in-laws gotta be the most selfish people in the world. They pretty much only love their grandkids from afar..... sad really, and made for another sht show family Xmas this year!
3 kids, spouses and 6 grandkids came in from all over the country for Xmas at grandma and grandpas and none will likely be back for a while.....
Actually the holidays usually end up like that with them.
Maybe that’s why it’s only sounded like a good idea 3 or 4 times now in the last 20 years!
