I am using Win 10 and Firefox. Both are to the latest versions. When I tap the "Subscribe" bar or the "Insert Photo" icon (and I am guessing the other icons also), I get an overlapping window like I expect but it states "about blank" and then goes away. Once in a great while, I can get the window to open and allow me to click "send email notices..." by continuously tapping the "subscribe" bar. This has been happening for several months now. I ask the Firefox Users Group and Googled: Firefox and "about blank", Forums and "about blank", and just plain "about blank" only to find that others seem to have this issue but no one has replied back that they found the solution.

Any ideas?

Thank you,
LeRoy

LeRoy,

I don't have any issues. Try changing the font size? (ctrl + or ctrl -)

I just tired subscribing before making this post. I got the pop-up box wanted to know if I wanted email notifications. I answered the "No" option. It was successful. I'm on firefox right now. I clicked the "Subscribe, send me notifications..." before posting this one. Seems to be working OK.

Try clearing your Firefox cashe and cookies and see if that helps.

I have no problems using a laptop with Win 10 and Firefox. I click reply to message. type in my text then scroll down which gives me 3 choices.

Do not subscribe
Subscribe, do not send Email notifications
Subscribe, send Email notifications of new posts.

I click the circle next to the second. The next time I log in I click my forums on the top right side and it brings me to all subscribed forums and shows if someone has replied since my last visit.

I change font size frequently so that it is easier for me to read. That doesn't solve my problem.

Every time I press the "REPLY" bar, it always works correctly.

Thank you Pianotuna,
LeRoy

EDIT: I forgot to mention that when I press the "Post Message" bar, I get a blank window for a second and then I am returned to the thread showing what I just entered. So that that part works somewhat.

Dutchmen,

That was also suggested on the Firefox forum but it didn't help me or any of the others that are experiencing this problem.

Thank you,
LeRoy

George 3037,

Those are the 3 choices I used to get but now, if I do get a response other than a momentary blank window, it is those three choices BUT the screen immediately disappears and the updated thread shows what I just entered.

Thank you,
LeRoy

If you go to your Profile page you can set it to subscribe to every thread that you reply to.

Sometimes you may want to subscribe to a thread so you can follow it without loosing it after it drops off the "Newest" threads, but you don't want to actually post anything yourself. It will save in your "My Forums" link though and then you can retrieve it easier after the 24 hours is passed. I've done this on many threads myself.

Drsteve,
I already had my Profile set up that way. What I am trying to do is have someone's post that I want to follow show up as an email when additional posts are made to that thread. Like I said, the "subscribe" bar hardly ever brings up the window that allows me to "subscribe".
