Hey mods! Technical question for you...

I remember reading here and there over the past few years regarding a time when something burped on the forum servers and a whole lot of posts vanished somewhere into outer space, never to be seen or heard from again.

Could one of you kindly refresh my failing memory on what the time frame was when this happened?

Reason I ask is because for some reason, I decided to dig back on some of the stories / anecdotes I wrote about my RV (mis)adventures.
I found some using the search function. Can't believe some of the stuff I've written! "Gotta git me a tango" was one set of stories I found. Still laughing!....

I was specifically trying to find a thread I started that earned me the nickname of "Butter Boy" I had forgotten to turn my furnace off and a whole pound of butter would up on a heat register while driving down the road and melted into the duct. I think it was around 12 - 13.

Anyhow, can't find that thread and thought maybe it was part of the lost threads from yesteryear..

Thanks

Hi Bob,

Try searching using google instead of the rather poor search on the forums.

Oh thanks Don. I didn't think about doing that.
I do, however, wonder if it will show up if its among the threads that vanished.
Guess I'll try and find out!

Gee Don, you're a genius!!

I found the thread I was looking for via Google. Same search parameters I used here to try to locate it.

Thanks. [emoticon]
