Well I suspect the price of fuel makes the risk worth it.. And Trucks can be hijacked same as pipelines can be tapped.

Some US pipelines have tap-detection hardware.. Works too.

Home is where I park it.

We went out yesterday to fill up our empty gas tank because we needed it and had seen the article.

All 3 Pemex on Hwy 200 were open, no lines, no hassles. The 2 in town were the same. Magna had dropped one peso per liter from our last fill up in November. (hey, it's a small town and we ride the combi's most of the time)

As of yesterday, Magna around Zihuatanejo, Guerrero was 18.28 pesos per liter again, a full peso per liter less than in November.

Only certain states and some cities are having problems with the fuel deliverty, not all of Mexico as the article states, the states are Michoacan, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Estado de México, Aguascalientes, Queretaro, Tamaulipas and Oaxaca.

For those of you traveling in these areas, be aware that you may have to wait in line to fill up and depending on the availability of the fuel, some stations are limiting the amount to $200.oo pesos per vehicle, so plan with caution this goes for gasoline and Diesel fuel in some areas, then being foreigners you might get a full tank, knowing that you are travelling and not a paisano, it is called cortesia al extranjero.

Let's get reports. There is fuel in Melaque, there was no fuel a few days ago when i left Guadalajara, but I got it in Colima. Diesel seems available in most places.

There is fuel on the north side of Mexico city near Tula, but I hear other areas of Mexico city are out.

no fuel around guanajuato or san miguel, san juan de Lagos, long lineups where there is fuel and rationing. No problems anywhere along the west coast. San luis potosi has fuel.

They deployed 4000 troops along the pipeline today (confirmed) and I have an unconfirmed report they re-opened it this morning. If so, I would estimate a week to return to normality.

My internet browser produces a warning that the site may be unsafe. I checked it on https://www.scamadviser.com/ and get a report that the site is located in Germany or possibly Pakistan.
