I am looking into getting my next RV and want to upgrade to either a Prevost Bus (marathon, vantare, etc) or a Newmar king air, all used.

I drove a new King air and and it was a great ride, but still had some wind noise at the door and windows. I have not driven a Prevost yet, but I hear the ride is great and a lot less wind noise.

Also want to hear about insulation and cold air seeping in around the windows.

Anyway I would like to get input from those that own or have owned a Prevost and a King Air on the pro's and con's.

Thanks

Just drive a Prevost. Question answered!
A Prevost a few years old is miles ahead of the newest coach on the road. There are plenty for sale in most every price range. You just need to find the floor plan that works for you. Factory service is available Nationwide (not everywhere but certainly workable) and the chassis and engine can be serviced by thousands of service centers.
I own a 1988 Prevost. It's awesome. I have been considering a new coach and only Prevost's are on my list of possible replacements.

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Never had one, but I've always heard Provost is king.

But is it really worth the extra cost?

A Prevost is the Best of the Best of the Best! It's a bus, built of steel, aluminum and chrome! If there is a safer vehicle on the road I've not heard of it. To drive and/or ride in a Prevost is to say there is nothing it can compare to.

Everything that goes into a Prevost is the best money and technology can offer on the most solid platform there is. There are many folks very fond of Newell and they build a fine coach. But its a coach, it is not a bus and the difference is huge!

There are a number of Prevost converters and there is not a bad one in the mix. Find one you like and that fits your budget and drive it. You’ll not be disappointed!

There is no doubt that what you say is true.

But the sales numbers indicates that there are many that believe we don't need to be that good.

Tom/Barb you are absolutely right and I have no argument. A Prevost is a different thing compleatly. All I’m saying is the look, the feel and the safety are without equal. It’s a matter of what is wanted and I would never demean another’s ride. Far too many great people out there driving all kinds of coaches. And we judge each other in the way we accord ourselves not on what we drive.
