thanks all for the replies, ordering new ones now, They have 20K on them and are five years old. They are on MORryde Independent Suspension system. Unfortunately my local Goodyear Rep doesn't return phone calls because I asked him for Manufacture dates on the tires he was going to order. Amazon actually has them $60 cheaper for each tire....

Thanks
How did you find out the dates on the tires from Amazon?

You've seen the tires and I've only see a small photo, but I intend to run my "G" rated Sailuns for another couple seasons and another 10,000 miles or so. They are 5 years old and about 20,000 miles on them.

And yet, how do you know the date coming from Amazon . You could possibly end up with a tire that is already a year or so old, or some vendor wanting to rid themselves of some older tires. No way I am ordering tires without knowing the date code .

I’ve used Tirerack.com for my last two sets of tires. Limited sizes on big tires.

We replaced our 5 year old Goodyear G614s today with Sailuns. We also have a busy travel season coming up and even though the 614s still look great I didn't want to take any chances.

Very good choice the Goodyear are very expensive. Why pay so much when you can get very good Sailun for a lot less.

Well,, while I agree with the above statement, I kinda like the the way Goodyear stands behind their product in the event of a failure..

That said, my G614's were looking like that and Goodyear told me that was normal tire wear.... The tire guy told me there was nothing wrong with them..

I sold them for $800.00 and put that cash into my Goodyear 114's..
