If it’s brand new I’d take it back and see what they will do... something is in the fuel delivery orfice tube.

Regarding Seafoam... it’s not snake oil...one of the best fuel products on the market... I’d run it all the time ... and do.. in all my yard equipment and both of my Honda 2000s to keep fuel system clean..

I also dont have to worry about fuel gumming up during non use times since I run Seafoam all the time...

Hope you get issue resolved..

Which Seafoam product are you all using for treating the gas? I’ve used Stabil so would like to compare the two.

Seafoam and Sta-Bil are somewhat alike, but more ways different. If you want to use Sta-Bil, use the blue or marine grade one NOT the red one. Before the days of Ethanol, the red Sta-Bil was okay to use. Now w/ the use of Ethanol, not so. Seafoam is a great product to clean and combat the effects of Ethanol. I run Star-Tron in weed eater, chain saw and snowmobiles. No problem w/ any of them. If ya want MO, use Seafoam or Star-Tron.

It will help to use premium gas in future. Where I live premium has no ethanol.

Sta-bil is a good product but it has not, for me, cured surging. Seafoam has done so on two different generators.

The choke switch on my EU2000 always seemed backwards to my minds way of thinking. What you think is choke might actually be run.

And there's a recall / stop sale on EU2000... make sure your's isn't part of the recall.

Is it in ECO mode?

I have to say, this was my first thought as well. In ECO mode, the RPM's will vary based on generator load from from whatever device is using the electrical power.

I don't use my Honda's enough. When I do I always run them dry and the drain the carb bowl. So far no issues.
I live in the epicenter of oil refining but can't buy non ethanol gas.
I've been using Startron fuel preserver. I have 50 gallons of gas in my boat that probably haas been in there 4 months.

Mine did that too from the time it was new. Honda test-runs them and lets the fuel dry up in it.
Ran 1/2 bottle of Seafoam in it during a 5 hour run and it was fixed permanently.

This whole thread is the reason I went out and bought this

I have 3 Yamaha is2000`s and have sold one and the other 2 are for sale. I just got tired of the whole gas thing. Trying to fill them in the dark with a flash light, keeping the cans upright in the back of the truck, stale gas, cleaning the carbs ,draining the carbs, worry about being stolen, lack of any real power even when paralleled. I had both fill cans stolen out of the truck one night when we stopped to get some dinner.
So this thing has never had and will never have gas in it. It runs strictly on propane. It runs every thing with power to spare, remote start-stop, no climbing in the truck to fill the little tanks, not worried about being, stolen, to heavy it`s locked down anyway. It cost just a 100.00 more than ONE, 1, Uno just one of my Yamaha`s. I have it hooked to the propane system on the camper, never have to get up in the middle of the night to fill it up to keep the A/C running so the wife doesn`t get cranky. Rant over.
