If dual fuel is not a requirement, Walmart has the 3400 Remote Start on sale for $850. The manual start version is $800. The dual fuel model is $980

Champion has excellent customer service and replacement parts readily available.

The more I thought about it I couldn't let this deal go. I'll have the 3400 remote start model on my porch next week. It's a nice upgrade to my open frame 4000.

Lol...when a person makes a sales pitch, ends up making an up sell to himself, that person has a great sales future! Anyway, enjoy that new quiet Champ, and natures sounds at the same time. Yes, their customer service is great!

I've been wanting to upgrade for some time. This unit was about $100 cheaper last year so I thought I better pull the trigger now.

I carry the open frame in the truck bed between the cab and hitch for when we overnight and want to run the AC. It's difficult to start with the cap in the way. The remote start will solve this.

That "open" housing generator is significantly LOUDER that the other "enclosed" Champion generators like the Champion Power Equipment 100233 3400W Inverter Generator

Sorry, new here and landed here upon Google search. Does anyone know what kind of autonomy the Firman WH02942 could have on propane (20 lbs tank)?

Jeffinho,

Propane gens work well--but at a cost of about 12% of total output.

Propane is harder to source and run time is fairly short.

Hi,

That's easily enough power--but I'd go Champion 3400 with remote electric start.

x2
my champion 3400 duel fuel runs our 15k btu with no problems even on propane, not using eco mode. plus other non 12 volt things. i do not try to run the microwave or coffee maker at the same time.

Thanks,
