I am trying to picture the layout. This is the dash and you have cabinets above not headliner? I have had headliners begin to fail and they can shed the foam backing under the attached fabric. It basically sneaks out the gap at the top of the windshield where the headliner meets it.

correct. cabinets directly above both seats across the width of the MH. the nottom of the cabinets are directky above the dash.

Are your shades insulated? That's where our powdered/flaked residue came from, it was the filling between the front and rear of the accordion shades.

OK, if it's not that, then it's probably all that's left of Jimmy Hoffa. Odd that it's all over your dash, because the mob is usually a lot more thorough at "problem disposal". [emoticon]

two shades...nightine shade is solid, daytime shade is perforated to "block" IR. inspected both as best i could. both seem intact. very weird. thanks to all for responding.

It looks like skin flakes? Is it possible that someone broke into your MH, murdered someone, and hid the body elsewhere? Or do I watch too many police shows?
