IWISS Open Barrel Terminal Crimper Plier Tool for Molex Style DELPHI AMP TYCO Terminals Crimper Open Barrel 24-14 AWG

$19.99 AMAZON

Butt connectors are butt-oooogly to join wires together that for one reason or another should be or must be disconnectable.

Because of ease of installation and the ability to carry 30-amps continuously through 12-gauge wire I choose WEATHER PACK terminals.

Look here comes an assortment of 2-wire terminals now...

">chippingMethodStandard!91910!US!-1

  • This isn't open heart surgery
  • The terminals are easy to assemble using the tool above
  • FIRST slide the silicone sealing donut onto the wire
  • The strip the wire according to length[emoticon]osition the terminal onto the wire then crimp two times
  • Do the other side
  • Shove the silicone donuts into the end of the connector
  • Slap the hinged plastic flap closed and one side of the connector is done
  • Repeat for the other side 2 wires and you"ll have a sealed connector that is not cheap breakable junk. One hand releases the catch that holds the 2 halves together and the wires are accident proof -- no pulled wires.

I assemble these critters with 1-1/2 hands so please -- no whimpering. I do not have fight them apart or to reconnect. This is the professional way to make superior factory connections and there is no heat required.

Note one site mentions 10 gauge wire. Forget it. That's for 10 SAE wire which is smaller than 10 AWG wire.

3 sizes of metal terminal can be used with the same nylon housing. 10-12, 14-16, and 18-20. Each size uses a different color silicone donut. Keep your parts organized.
