BD5 air hitch. Robust quality and very good for your trailer. I would not have anything but an air hitch of some brand.....definitely not a rigid hitch.

Have the Curt Q20 with the factory puck system - no problems.

Shocked that it worked well? For the extra money they cost and all the hype around them I think I’d be shocked if it didn’t work well.

Another vote for B/W. I'm sure others are nice as well but I just have experience with B/W and a cheapo Reese years ago. Whatever you do, don't be afraid to spend money. There is nothing worse than a cheap hitch.

Aside from the great functionality of the B/W, their customer support is awesome. I called once with a question and within a couple minutes was transferred to one of the engineers who designed my hitch. They guy was amazing and totally helped me out.

Curt is known to promote chucking. Simply look at the heads pivot point being several inches below the kingpin connection.

B&W’s is even with the kingpin connection height.

Oh yea if it matters Curt is Made in China. B& W is US Made.

Curt is known to be hard to disconnect when truck and RV are on different angles.

B&W is always easy to hitch and in hitch. Also simple solid no question if you are hitched.

For all you Andersen guys, OP said he has a Reece Revolution pin box. That will not work with a Andersen hitch.

B&W RVK3700 20K or RVK3705 25K hitch.

For your 2018 Rockwood 8299BS the 20K is plenty of hitch.

BTW as Ron says Curt 5th wheel hitches are built in china!

I picked up a great deal on a B&W Companion puck system. I have everything hooked up and even with the arms on the lowest setting, the trailer isn’t exactly level. It’s a little high in the front and my truck is squatting a little. Is this acceptable, or do I need to make some adjustments?
PS so far I love the hitch. Looks very well built and easy to use..

That is a nice looking rig! It is best to be level, if you have enough bed rail clearance (6 inches minimum). You may be able to raise the pin box one setting. IMO, you are close enough, and many are towing much more nose-high than that. Mine is about an inch nose-high and tows great.

Congrats on finding a good deal on a great hitch. Welcome to the B&W Fanboy Club

I would go with b&w hitch. I no how a lot of people on here on built in USA so go with it. Curt is shipped from china and put together here from what I was told. Bolts aren't as high a grade also.
