Torklift Glowstep Revolution has just released a model that will replace yours allowing you the option of using them in such a confined area. Just got word of these.

Are those steps optional? If not, then any rig that has them is right off my list.

Go to a large RV show and you will see that many, if not most, have these simple to install steps. While there, watch the folks stumble over the step supports that jut out into the aisle. People don't think and can be sold anything.

Pins with locking clips (like the ones that hold a hitch to the rails) might work.

You might want to add some kind of gussets to the bolt hole areas to stiffen the mounting.

your exact situation is the one large downside to these steps. I do LOVE the rigidity of them, but when in storage I rarely have the room to deploy/use this great upgrade. I hope that industry comes up with a work around for those of us that end up in narrow spaces occasionally.

Agree. Not to mention that we often stop over at rest areas for the night and those type of steps would stick too far out in the road to safely leave deployed.

Couldn't agree more! I love my TorkLift GlowStep Revolution steps. You can actually use them almost straight up and down.

Morryde makes removable solid steps.

2 Brackets bolt under the door and the stairs clip into them.

Quick connect step

Thanks for the replies. I ordered the Torklift steps today. After all the good things you had to say, I figured they must be good and they definitely will fix my problem.
Thanks again for the input.
