Freezer working but not cooling the refrigerator. 14? in the fully packed freezer that we started out with today. But the fridge isn't cooling down properly. In the fifties. This is a 19 year old unit and has always functioned well and we always pack the freezer pretty fall starting out for the summer. Something is not right. It's an older Dometic.

If you are at a campground I'd call their recommended mobile RV Service guy.

Look around the back side for any signs of yellow residue that would be left behind if any of the ammonia solution leaked.

The refrigerator is cooled with spillover from the freezer. Until the freezer is down to temp, there won't be much spillover.

Freezer will NOT cool if any yellow residue is evident.......
Same cooling unit so a leak affects BOTH freezer and food compartment

Freezer 14*F and PACKED FULL
Food compartment in the 50's

How long has fridge be ON ....and how long did you let it COOL Down before PACKING it with FOOD????

Why can't folks post MODEL of appliances???????

Is it time for your medication or mine?

It's true. A BAD cooling unit(not a leaker) will freeze the freezer compartment. The blockage is after the freezer coil. BUT, the temp is NOT at 0 to 10 degrees. It can be anywhere from 31 degrees down to 0 degrees. COMMON scam by people selling their RV. They show the buyer that the Freezer is very COLD, but it is not to spec and after they buy, they find out the refer cooling unit is bad and the CU needs replaced. Doug

Make sure the fridge door gaskets are actually sealing. I temp-fixed my sister’s by stuffing small scraps of paper towels in behind the gasket edge and it helped quite a bit with their warm fridge.
