RCMP are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage as part of their investigation into a pair of suspicious deaths near Liard Hot Springs this week.

Two people were found dead on the Alaska Highway 20 kilometres south of the popular tourist destination on Monday, July 15. An older blue minivan with Alberta plates was found at the scene, according to police, who are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen the vehicle or tried to help.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who travelled the stretch of highway between Sunday, July 14 at 4 p.m. and Monday morning at 8 a.m. Police say they'd especially like to speak with anybody who has dashcam video of their travels through the area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northern Rockies RCMP at 250-774-2700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

If you can help, please do!

Just another heads up. A third body has been found

Excerpt from the article:

A third body has been found on the same Canadian highway where Australian tourist Lucas Fowler and his American girlfriend were killed.

The couple were shot at close range on the Alaska Highway in British Columbia, their bodies found on Monday.

What a terrible thing to happen to anyone. I hope they catch this SOB before he does it again.

From everything I have read the 3rd body was south of Dease Lake on Hwy 37, not on Hwy 97 where the other two bodies were found, The two locations where the 3 bodies were found are “about” a 7 hr drive apart.

and now another issue...another two people are missing along the Cassiar Hwy. Their truck was a red/grey RAM with a Bigfoot camper. See the picture on this CBC article https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/missing-drivers-bc-truck

Police admit there are "growing community concerns" after a total of five people have been declared missing or murdered in Northern B.C. in the past week — although officers say they don't know if the cases are related.
RCMP are asking the public to take general safety precautions like sharing travel plans with friends and family and establishing check-in times, as well as to remain vigilant.

Jeez, we going up the Cassiar next month. Hope they catch this person quick. Would hate to have to stay on our toes, when not driving, the whole trip.
