Another question for those of you who have stayed at Mammoth. Since we have a FW, moving from another campsite to snag and site with the chance of not getting one is disappointing, so . . . do they allow you to drive in with just your TV, pay for a site, then return with your RV? We've done this a couple of times for Baker's Hole FS CG in West Yellowstone, staying at Grizzly, driving over to Baker's Hole, paying for a site, then returning with our RV. Thanks.

We have stayed in Madison, CG in Late October early November Indian Summer after a couple snows - Mid 20's for lows and 69 for highs - Best trip Ever!!!

More animals than People - as that was a few years ago it appears that the Season has extended every year and that more and more people are there later till the road is closed - As is normally the case - Tetons are Great and the Northern part of the park tends to have milder weather - Cody is still open and the WalMart is good to resupply as most everything is sold out or 2X$ or more.

Sounds like a great trip - Pictures and a quick report will be appreciated at the End.

Best of Luck,

Bussskipper, thanks for the feedback on the weather. I really appreciate it. That's that kind of weather I was thinking, one just never knows.

Keep in mind it was mild the time I mentioned - BUT - it had already snowed two or three times and those snows can come anytime - or not till November just stay Flexible and I think you will love the time you are there.

Yellowstone looks great in White [emoticon]

Best of Luck - share some images when you finish.
